Ray Go - to text and driveSo it’s a stupid idea to multi-task like this, but there will always be some people who won’t be able to resist taking their hands off the wheel – and their eyes off the road – to text “c u soon”. Or a smiley face. Or check their emails. Or someone’s Facebook status.

So OZY has written about the RayGo, which it describes “a navigation control that mounts to your steering wheel and connects to your smartphone via a free app… and automatically enables your favorite apps with voice feedback.”

In drive mode, it works with Gmail, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp, for example. The only drawback is it’s Android-compatible. For now.

Really?

I would say that the loss of concentration that comes with listening to who liked your Facebook post or sent you an email would be the biggest drawback. But who’s going to call a spade a spade (to use a cliche)?

“By using stale metaphors, similes and idioms, you save much mental effort, at the cost of leaving your meaning vague, not only for your reader but for yourself.” - George Orwell
